PROM

A fire breather and a buffet of candy were among the highlights of the 2016 ISNP prom May 14 at Heron Creek Country Club.

The theme of the prom was Medieval Knight’s Dream. Decorations included candelabras and scrollwork.

The prom queen and king were Alyson Lorefice and Andres Fernandez. About 76 students attended the event.

Cody Oleckna and Erica DeMarino, both juniors, wait outside the Heron Creek Country Club for prom to begin.

BACCALAUREATE

Next on the agenda for the graduation season is the baccalaureate May 31 at the Suncoast Baptist Church in Port Charlotte.

Seniors wear their caps and gowns to the baccalaureate. The 7 p.m. event is being sponsored by the school chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

GRADUATION

And last comes graduation itself, set for 9 a.m. June 4 at the Charlotte Harbor Event Center.

Ten students will be recognized at graduation for their academic achievements: Joel Coker, Samantha Fussell, Blake Bennice, Michael Lima, Melissa Fierro, Sydney Burnett, Brielle Sterlace, Stephanie Legge and Sophia Albritton, and Kimberlyn Bruce.

Kimberlyn will be the featured student speaker.

“I am excited for graduation so I can go to college and have new opportunities with sports and education,” senior Quadir Waters said.
